Purple Dot, in partnership with Armagh Business Centre and Banbridge Enterprises have recently won a tender to deliver The Inspire Programme to assist small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) throughout the Armagh City and District Council area which will include intensive mentoring, meet the expert events and a digital marketing master class.
The two-strand programme is spread over 18 months and is specifically for businesses who have less than 10 employees, who are not Invest Northern Ireland clients and who are hoping to grow their business and to feed into the economic pipeline.
The programme will assist 20 businesses in the Armagh City and District Council area by providing 4.5 days of one to one mentoring and a number of knowledge based workshops. It is anticipated that by the end of the improvement programme the businesses will have the knowledge and support to allow them to grow their enterprise.
In addition a further 200 companies will be enrolled in a suite of events and group activities which will take place over a 16 month period in order to expand knowledge, skills and attitude within the Armagh district.
This strand of the programme will include a ‘grow your own business’ road show visiting 6 different locations throughout the Council which is aimed at helping the rural economy by going directly to their communities with the programme. As well, 40 key business leaders will volunteer their expertise and knowledge within the district to help fledgling entrepreneurs through a speed ‘meet the expert’ event. The culmination of Inspire will be a one day conference featuring many digital marketing and social media skilled experts.
